Importing OpenSong song database

January 22, 2019
Hello,

We are currently using OpenSong for our worship software at church, and we have hundreds of songs in the database (in many different language), can we import the OpenSong songs database to Worship Extreme software? so we dont have to type in one by one again from scratch? please advise. Thank you!

One option is to download OpenLP and import your OpenSong lyrics into it (https://manual.openlp.org/songs.html), then from OpenLP, import into Worship Extreme.

You also can import from CCLI SongSelect if you have a subscription. https://www.worshipextreme.com/docs/song-lyrics/songselect

Hey IPC. I have exactly the same question and cannot find a way to do this. Did you find a way?

Yep! Adam was correct, you can convert them using OpenLP.
Here's how:

1. Install OpenLP (to convert your OpenSong songs)
2. In OpenLP, go to File -> Import -> Song
3. In the Import Wizard, select OpenSong as the import format.
4. Click 'Add Files' and select your OpenSong song files. These might be somewhere like:
C:\users\[username]\Documents\OpenSong\Songs\
5. Click Next & Finish.

If you're using the latest version of OpenLP (V3+) you'll need to export the songs. As OpenLP now stores them inside an SQL database.
7. Therefore in OpenLP, go to File -> Export -> Song
8. Check All songs. Next.
9. Set the Directory to somewhere (e.g. Documents folder)
10. Next & Finish

11. Open Presenter (Worship Tools). (used to be Extreme Worship)
12. Select Songs -> Import Lyrics
13. Select OpenLP
14. Navigate to the folder you Exported into from OpenLP (e.g. Documents folder)
15. Import All
