Testing Beta Version

April 11, 2026
I see that it is possible to download the 2026 beta version of Presenter. I would like to have a good look at this, in preparation for when it is rolled out for general use. But I also need to keep what they refer to as the 'Legacy Presenter' for preparing the regular Sunday Services.
Can I install both on a single computer, and keep them distinct (especially the services)?

We (our church) decided to download the beta version. I was told that it wouldn't overwrite the other one. Whoever told me that was wrong. After going through it & finding a few bugs (the biggest one is that it won't let me import PowerPoint presentations yet), I wanted to switch back, but there is no option for that. For me to use the older Presenter, I have to redownload the Legacy version & go from there. Unfortunately, we downloaded the beta version on all of our computers at the church, & now it is a little too late to switch them all back over again & reschedule the service. I did find a quick workaround to still show the PowerPoints for the sermon on Sunday, but there are a few bugs that need to be worked out for it to be great.

I will say that for the most part, I love the new version of Presenter. They have been working on some amazing features & I look forward to when the "beta" version is completed.

Josh, Thanks for the warning. It looks as though I will have to set up the beta away from the computer I use for 'everyday' services.
