Is there a plan to allow sending SMS in Community?

In Community, there is a cell phone field and a check box for SMS. Is there a plan to allow us to send text messages to persons in our database? Older members and busy members may not use email and we often have to reach out via phone. Community's templates should allow us to send a mass notification via text and/or email.

that kind of SMS and number setting is for service and promotional purposes I believe.

SMS would be wonderful. No one checks email regularly .
