Hi, I have some feature requests for planning that I think would elevate the program even more! :)
Mostly quality of life things and sounds like a simple thing.
1. I understand that you can click on the calendar icon to see if they are serving that day etc, but I would still love to see a warning indication of some sort to indicate they are rostered on for something else that day more in the Birds Eye view, so that you can see without having to click on the calendar icon individuals. The reality of church rostering is that its not one leader but multiple leaders trying to see if their volunteers are available, etc, and a friendly reminder or prompt to notify the leader of their commitments for that day is very helpful.
2. An option to re-invite easily. I know you can easily get rid them off the roster and re-invite, but at a macro level, if we can batch re-invite everyone that hasn't responded, it would be helpful.
3. I know you can "invite all" on the top left of the planning page, and select all dates, but I think when inviting all with the button on top left, being able to select not just the dates but also the teams would be very handy. I know you can click invite on the specific date and invite all for that day/service where you can select and unselect by teams, so basically the same thing but for all/multiple dates.
4. When making a service, then adding a rehearsal date for the day before or earlier, the event turns into a 2 days event or longer on the main page to see all the upcoming services. (This would be depending on the rehearsal date. If Saturday rehearsal, 2 days event, thursday rehearsal would be 4, etc).
Can we please make it so that the event date is what we would see when rostering and planning?
Also, currently when editing a service one 3 options are possible, the actual service, staff prep time and rehearsal, but could we please have a "custom" option too? and make these NOT the starting time of the run sheet? The starting time on the run sheet should be customisable in my opinion.
5. Could we please have templates for worship services. I know you can copy and paste a service, but it would be helpful just to be able to create a service and load a template.
While I am at it, just wanted to add a few more things that might not be the wider community's request but certainly have been something that I wish for improvement personally,
I've emailed this quite a while ago and for a season it was fixed but it has gone back to how it was before but the given name and surname are backwards for us Koreans, and comes with a space when in Korean we don't usually do that. I have also noticed even when it was fixed temporarily that it's different everywhere. Like when searching for names, I have better luck if I only type the first name, if I do it other way like space / surname or surname first, the person does not come up. Even when searching first name some names do not pop up which means we have to go through all the pages to find the person sometimes because of the search not working as it should. On the run sheet print out, it is first name space surname, on the teams tab however the it shows the proper Korean way. - Surname(no space)Given name.
