Service Order

One of Planning's main functions is to help you plan out your weekly services. And to make service planning even easier, any edits you make on a service in Planning will automatically sync to the WorshipTools Presenter and Charts apps, as long as all devices are connected to the Internet.

To begin putting together a service in Planning, click Services from the navigation menu. Open up an existing service or create a new one. When you first open or create a service, you'll be on the Order tab of the service.

Under the Order tab, you can build out your service with Headers and Items. Headers are a good tool for grouping certain items together, or visually organizing the service. These do not count towards the 15 item limit on the Free plan.

Items are the actual content of the service and can be designated as Blank, Song, Slide, or Scripture items in Planning. Items can be customized even further in the Presenter app with videos, PowerPoints, web links, etc.

To add a Blank, Song, Slide, or Scripture item to the service, click Add Item in the upper left corner of the tab, and select the item type. When adding a song, you will be given the option to choose a song from Your Library or from SongSelect. Once a song is added to the service, all the attached lyrics, chord charts, custom attachments, and media for that song will be available for access under the Rehearse tab and in the Charts app.

When selecting the Slides item type, you can only select from Presenter Slides that have already been created and saved in your Presenter Slides Library. Similarly, with Bibles items, you can only select from official WorshipTools Bible translations available on your account.

To move items around on the service order, click and hold the 6-dot icon on the left of the item and drag it to the desired place. To edit or delete an item from the list, click the Edit button on the right. You can also show or hide certain items in each app - reference the "Show All Items" View Option article to learn more.
